Like most things in Texas, Houston is big. The biggest city in Texas and fourth largest in the country coming in at 634 square miles it could encompass the cities of Boston, New York, Miami, Minneapolis, San Francisco, Seattle and Washington combined. Did someone say theater? Yes Houston also has a theater district; it is a seventeen block area in the heart of downtown. We have the Houston Grand Opera, the Houston Symphony Orchestra, the Houston Ballet, and The Alley Theatre again just to name a few. The city host several festivals through out the year, art car parade, bayou city arts festival, and international festival are among the long list.

Sports are big in H-Town. Houston has teams in nearly every major professional sport, including the Houston Astros (MLB), Houston Texans (NFL), Houston Rockets (NBA), Houston Dynamo (MLS), Houston Aeros (AHL), and Houston Takers (ABA). Minute Maid Park and Toyota Center are located in downtown Houston. If sports are not your thing, how about taking a walk in the park, Houston has 50,632 acres of total park space now that Green. Memorial Park, Hermann Park, George Bush Park, San Houston Park and Discovery Park are among the city top choices to spend a afternoon playing soccer, riding a bike or working on your suntan.

We have world-class medicine and health care: the Texas Medical Center boasts an impressive 49 Member institutions including 13 hospitals employing over 93,500 people.

Education is also big here. The greater Houston area has 14 major institutions of higher learning. The Houston market areas independent school districts (ISD’s)is vast . HOUSTON — (April 17, 2012) — The Houston real estate market enjoyed a tenth consecutive month of rising sales in March, with homes continuing to sell quickly enough to keep housing inventory at its lowest level since December 2008. Average and median prices achieved the highest levels for a March in Houston, with the average price coming just a few dollars shy of the all-time high set in June 2008.
